This LGTBIQ+ short film selection showcases a powerful mosaic of identity, resilience, and desire, traversing from the intimate corners of neighborhood shops to the vibrant, precarious nights of Lisbon. Through stories of shared grief, youth transitions, and the search for safe havens, these films explore the human need to be seen and the courage it takes to inhabit one's own truth. It is a cinematic journey through the vulnerable and ironic spaces where we fight to belong.
Following the screening, a panel discussion will take place featuring Alex Simões and João Ferreira, the Artistic Director of the International Queer Film Festival, Queer Lisboa 29.

Diamantino, a football superstar, loses his touch and his career comes to an end. Searching for a new purpose in life, he embarks on an odyssey in which he confronts neofascism, the refugee crisis, and seeks the source of his genius.

In the mythical bar Babel, a place of both life and death, lost souls and the living in search of meaning cross paths. Dante, whose contract with La Flaca — the personification of Death — is coming due, tries to recover his memory while helping a ghost, Monet, reclaim his body before it disintegrates. Meanwhile, Jacob, the son of an Orthodox pastor, hides from his family his desire to become a drag queen. Uma, a mysterious Romani woman, makes a risky wager with La Flaca: to save her dying daughter. All of this unfolds under the omniscient gaze of the Boticario and Erato, who are not what they seem — narrators between heaven and the abyss.
